Time-shifting and Re-broadcasting Server
The Timeshift Server is ideally designed for re-broadcasting to different time zones. It includes all the features of the FS Playout Server and allows users to simplify, clear and stabilize the time shifting process of the headend signal. The server can send on-air and receive audio and video materials simultaneously, and delay their retransmission.
An internal or network-attached hard disk drive can be used as storage for the FS1100 server. The capacity of the disk drives affects the max time delay of live audio / video playout. It can also be controlled locally or remotely via network or GPI and easily integrated with external AV switcher and mixer for additional input / output capabilities.
The Timeshift Server guarantees effective operation of input and output processes while reviewing, cutting in or exporting the storage. The special algorithms of the serevr operation provide maximized file system perfomance, extending the life span of hard drives. The ability to play back the cut clips in random order (within the storage length) allows for complete modification of the schedule in spite of the mismatch of real and desirable duration of ad blocks, avoiding the on-air operator's mistakes. The storage size (max. delay time) depends on the capacity of used disk drives (including the drives via LAN).
